About the position

KeHE is a natural, organic, specialty, and fresh food distributor that emphasizes a people-first culture. The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales at customer sites within an assigned territory through effective product placement, promotional selling, and merchandise display. This role requires intra- and interstate travel, with overnight stays as needed. The representative must maintain a positive image while adhering to company policies and procedures, working both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales at customer sites through product placement and promotional selling.
  • Merchandise products for display to attract sales.
  • Transport products from storage to customer shelves or displays.
  • Maintain product quality and quantity on shelves by rotating products and checking code dates.
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconcile orders for customer accounts.
  • Create and transmit customer credits for spoiled or returned goods.
  • Create and transmit orders for product replenishment in a timely manner.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to customer policies and KEHE standards.
  • Reset displays of merchandise to enhance product visibility.
  • Maintain fixture cleanliness to enhance sales.
  • Communicate with warehouse personnel and District Manager regarding product discrepancies.
  • Plan and carry out daily schedules according to assigned customer locations.
  • Coordinate product merchandising needs with Merchandiser and Reset Specialist.
  • Operate electronic equipment for communications and order transmission.
  • Travel to and from customer locations using a motor vehicle.
  • Attend scheduled trainings and meetings as required.
  • Attend store inventories to verify product counts and report findings to District Manager.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Minimum of one year experience in KEHE operations or related sales field.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets KEHE's standards.
  • Reliable transportation with adequate automobile liability coverage.
