About the position

The Single Market Luxury Manager (SMLM) at The RealReal is a key Outside Sales position focused on building client relationships and driving the luxury consignment business. This role involves acquiring consigned items from clients within an assigned territory, converting leads into clients, and providing an outstanding client experience through in-home appointments and daily outreach. The SMLM is expected to spend over 70% of their time in the field, actively engaging with clients to drive consignment activity and resolve any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

  • Convert marketing generated leads into new clients and self-generate new business by prospecting.
  • Connect with new and established clients to drive consignment activity through daily outreach and in-home appointments.
  • Leverage strong client relationships to gain referrals for new business.
  • Procure consigned goods from clients and ship to ecommerce centers on their behalf.
  • Provide an outstanding client experience and review consignor contracts with clients.
  • Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury, utilizing internal tools and resources.
  • Partner with Consignor Relations team to proactively resolve client issues or concerns.
  • Spend more than 70% in the field building client relationships and acquiring consigned items.

Requirements

  • 3+ years direct sales experience with a proven track record of success in performance-based sales roles.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish trust and credibility with clients.
  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and occasionally work off-hours as required by clientele.
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve results.
  • Experience converting leads to close new business.
  • Stellar communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with technological tools including Salesforce or a CRM of similar caliber and G-suite.
  • Team-focused mentality with a passion for collaboration.
  • A solutions-focused mentality with a growth mindset.
  • Adaptability and openness to change.
  • Highly coachable with an eagerness to learn.
  • Must live and regularly meet with clients in person anywhere within assigned territory.
  • A current, valid driver's license and car insurance that meets or exceeds local requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience selling luxury goods and/or services.
  • Existing book of clients.
  • Ability to discuss and advise customers on general fashion trends and developments in the luxury market.
