The Field Sales Support System Engineer (Level 3) position at Lockheed Martin involves performing systems engineering and integration functions specifically for Aero Support Equipment (SE) and Alternate Mission Equipment (AME) Requirements Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including Support Equipment (SE) planning, identification, analysis, software integration, and the review and disposition of engineering change requests related to SE/AME impact. This role requires the candidate to respond to customer and field-level equipment inquiries while consistently interfacing with customers, vendors, and leadership to communicate project status, needs, and risks. The applicant will be expected to review Program Planning Package Documents (PPD), Technical Statements of Work (TSOW), Delivery Orders (DO), Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), and Contract Change Proposals (CCP) for SE/AME for IFG programs. A quick development of knowledge regarding the hardware and processes is essential for success in this role. The candidate will represent the SE/AME Requirements team at both internal contract management reviews and external customer program management reviews and conferences. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to coordinate with other organizations to resolve technical and support issues related to assigned SE items. Additionally, the position may involve assignments related to other systems, which would require the candidate to review supply posture, initiate changes to existing maintenance techniques and procedures, and assist in the development of maintenance plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and exceptional organizational skills, demonstrating proactive thinking and the ability to operate autonomously when appropriate. The role demands the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
