Field Sales Trainee - Passenger and Light Truck

About the position

The Field Sales Trainee position at Continental is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates, focusing on building a successful career in the tire industry. The role includes a six-month training program that provides comprehensive exposure to various departments, sales strategies, and customer interactions. Trainees will travel extensively across the U.S. to gain hands-on experience and will be expected to relocate after the training program to take on the role of Field Sales Coordinator, where they will manage their own territory and develop customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a six-month training program to understand the tire industry and sales strategies.
• Travel approximately 75% of the time across the U.S. during training.
• Assist sales managers in developing and executing sales strategies within assigned territories.
• Conduct regular in-person meetings and training with existing customers to grow account share.
• Analyze customer and market conditions to identify sales opportunities.
• Plan and attend customer events such as NCAA Basketball games and Major League Soccer games.
• Ensure the success of product launches and consumer promotions through effective communication with customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or completion of a Bachelor's degree by Dec 2024 or May 2025.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to travel over 50%.
• Strong communication skills.
• Open to relocation within 6-8 months after the training program.
