About the position

The Field Services Account Manager at Clean Harbors is responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts within a designated territory. This role focuses on building strong relationships with high-value customers to enhance market share and profitability in Field Services. The position emphasizes health and safety as a top priority, ensuring compliance with safe work practices while achieving sales targets and fostering collaborative relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Identify, hunt, and close new business opportunities at existing customers.
  • Map white space in owned accounts to grow business with existing customers.
  • Identify and close business with new customers.
  • Maintain high touchpoints with customers and prospects to increase wallet share and awareness of Clean Harbors Field Services capabilities.
  • Collaborate with FS heavy CAMs to expand Corporate and Key account access.
  • Meet quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
  • Complete annual Sales Revenue Budget.
  • Develop strong relationships with local branches and address operational challenges.
  • Assist in the collection of invoiced revenue from customers.
  • Track activities, opportunities, and accounts using Clean Harbors tools to create strategies and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Manage and control Sales expenses.
  • Maintain daily awareness of sales activities and results.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract requirements.
  • Handoff established customers to farmers roles to focus on hunting new business opportunities.
  • Serve as the point of contact and problem resolver for assigned accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in high-level sales development and management.
  • Verifiable successful track record of multi-million-dollar annual quota attainment.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies and account development.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, create, and close deals.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with follow-through on client contracts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity.
  • Strong executive presence and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to influence C-suite buyers.
  • Proficient in resolving customer issues related to environmental regulations and services.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Self-starter with cross-functional team collaboration skills.
  • Strategic and conceptual selling expertise.
  • Adept analytical skills and project management experience.
  • Ability to travel 30-50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in RCRA, DOT, CERCLA, Environmental Remediation, Emergency Response, and Industrial High-Pressure Cleaning applications.
