The Field Engineer I at GE Healthcare is responsible for performing timely and accurate Preventative Maintenance on various modalities of medical equipment. Effective communication is crucial, as the Field Engineer I will partner with teammates and customers to ensure issues are resolved promptly, leading to enhanced customer satisfaction. The role also involves recommending value-added services to customers, maintaining service logs, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times. The Field Engineer I will engage with commercial counterparts to identify potential sales leads and participate in sales opportunities, such as contract renewals. They will focus on understanding customer needs and building strong relationships to become a trusted partner in their business. Keeping up to date with competitor information and market trends is also an essential part of the role. The Field Engineer I is expected to answer service calls independently within one year of employment, demonstrating their growing expertise in the field.
