About the position

The Field Engineer II will perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on our life-changing medical equipment for CT/MR modalities within a hospital or healthcare system in the Kansas City Area. This role is critical in ensuring that medical equipment operates efficiently and effectively, thereby supporting healthcare providers in delivering optimal care to patients. The Field Engineer II will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. In this position, the engineer will engage directly with healthcare professionals, providing timely and accurate service to ensure that all medical equipment is functioning correctly. This includes not only performing repairs and maintenance but also documenting all work performed, including the ordering of necessary parts. The engineer will need to maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that communication is clear and that any issues are resolved promptly to drive customer satisfaction. The role requires adherence to company policies and hospital protocols, which are essential for meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. The Field Engineer II will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a commitment to improving lives through technology and innovation in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system.
  • Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution, and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
  • Document all work performed, including the ordering of parts.

Requirements

  • Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education, or High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of experience servicing electrical equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience servicing Imaging equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex or extend neck, and have good hand and finger dexterity.
  • Availability after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
