About the position

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) at Cenero LLC is responsible for diagnosing and repairing audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT-related systems. This role requires independent thinking and minimal supervision while effectively interacting with employees, customers, and colleagues. The FSE will manage service tickets, provide technical support, and deliver training, all while maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for audiovisual, videoconferencing, and IT systems.
  • Diagnose system problems and manage service tickets.
  • Repair audiovisual and IT systems, including cable re-termination.
  • Provide remote end-user support for AV & IT systems.
  • Configure and program equipment for various applications.
  • Interface with manufacturers to resolve issues.
  • Make recommendations on whether to repair or replace defective products.
  • Document activities and maintain accurate records.
  • Deliver technical training to clients and Cenero personnel.
  • Provide professional customer service and build technical credibility with clients.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and management.
  • Coordinate activities with subcontractors and manufacturers.
  • Respond to notifications in a timely manner.
  • Perform duties of a Technical Service Engineer when not dispatched in the field.
  • Document customer requests and maintain digital records.
  • Produce accurate service quotes using company tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of related experience or training.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual systems including switchers, projectors, and displays.
  • General knowledge of ISDN T1/E1, Ethernet, and SIP protocols.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computers and office software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Audiovisual installation experience.
  • Applicable manufacturer trainings and certifications.
  • CTS General Certification.
  • Biamp/QSC Certification.
  • Crestron Toolbox and CTI-P101 Certificate or higher.
  • Crestron DMC-E-4K Certification.
