The Field Service Engineer will utilize electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to our customers. As part of the Field Service team, you will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting high vacuum pumps, abatement, gas, and chemical delivery systems in your assigned territory. Travel outside the assigned territory may be required to support your peers and install base. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on products, troubleshoot errors or failures to root cause, and recommend or undertake remedial action to restore products to normal operating condition. You will also demonstrate or train correct PM and/or operation of equipment, commission, setup equipment, and test equipment. Completing and maintaining various documentation and computer systems used in the execution of work as required is also a key responsibility. You are expected to arrive promptly and properly dressed at all field locations, develop and maintain rapport with customers ensuring customer satisfaction, and remain on-call as required by the customer and/or service agreement. Promoting a safety culture, practicing proper Edwards safety procedures, and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times is essential.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Requires an AS degree, full military equivalent, or 4+ years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum.
  • Experience in Field Service and or the Semiconductor industry is preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Competent in the use of test equipment including, various multimeters, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
  • Possess basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet software, and databases.
  • Must have a positive attitude, energetic, enthusiastic, willingness to learn, and commitment to get the job done.
  • A self-starter who can set priorities and can demonstrate initiative.
  • Must be capable of exercising good independent judgment.
  • Possesses good customer interface and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Semiconductor industry is preferred.
