About the position

The Field Service Engineer position at Danfoss involves providing technical and application support for Danfoss products across North America. This role focuses on assisting internal and external sales teams, OEMs, system integrators, and distributors with post-sales support, troubleshooting, and product commissioning. The position is remote, ideally suited for candidates located in mid-Atlantic states, and requires significant travel within North America.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product advice and post-sales support to internal and external customers.
• Work closely with Danfoss Sales to demonstrate the value of Danfoss products in the North American market.
• Provide technical support to customers on commissioning and troubleshooting, including reviewing customer drawings and specifications.
• Conduct activities following Danfoss engineering and quality procedures.
• Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.
• Co-ordinate with the Services supervisor on all resources required for the timely completion of routine repair and maintenance activities.
• Work with all engaged internal and external resources who provide installation and servicing of Danfoss products.
• Provide frontline support for technicians.

Requirements

• Preferred Associate's (AA) degree in HVAC/REF or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent relevant experience.
• Digital literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, Internet software, E-mail, and Windows 10/11.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent, self-motivated, self-organized.
• Results-oriented and eager to contribute.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and coworkers.
• Able to work calmly under pressure with experience in commissioning activities.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, sometimes at short notice.
