About the position
The Field Service Engineer for Diagnostic X-ray/Cath Lab is responsible for managing customer relationships through technical expertise in installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites. This role requires exceptional customer service, adherence to regulatory requirements, and the ability to work collaboratively within a regional team while traveling extensively across New York.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to customer entitlements and meeting commitments.
- Understand the customer's business and competitive environment to generate service revenue.
- Actively participate in the regional work team to improve processes and identify training gaps.
- Perform administrative duties within established regulatory requirements, including timesheets and service work orders.
- Utilize tools and resources to resolve customer and system problems in a timely manner.
- Complete preventative maintenance, Field Change Orders, installations, and diagnose electronic, network, and mechanical problems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment or 4+ years in electromechanical industries.
- Preferred experience in diagnostic x-ray, cardiovascular, cath labs, or image-guided therapy equipment.
- Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.
- Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment requirements.
