As a Field Service Engineer at Lam Research, you will play a crucial role in customer support, ensuring the operational excellence of our complex semiconductor equipment. Your responsibilities will extend beyond mere installations and troubleshooting; you will be at the forefront of understanding customer needs and collaborating with various teams to deliver effective solutions. This position is available for multiple levels, from entry-level to senior-level, across locations in Oregon, Arizona, and Idaho. In this role, you will provide quality on-site repair and maintenance services, as well as complete installation and relocation start-up services for Lam's sophisticated electro-mechanical and electronic systems at customer sites. You will engage in analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and diagnostics, isolating issues to the component level and taking corrective actions to minimize downtime and equipment malfunctions. Keeping up to date with semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through continuous learning and certification will be essential. You will also assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and reports to coordinate activities between Lam and the customer. As a subject matter expert, you will represent Lam to our valued customers, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Your role will involve troubleshooting and creating customer response action plans, transparently discussing opportunities and challenges to build trust. Additionally, you will provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
