ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon. In this role as a Field Service Engineer for EUV, you will be responsible for installing equipment at customer locations, including equipment with new features. This includes unloading components, inspecting for damage, assembling, aligning, and testing the equipment. You will analyze applicability, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications, evaluate and diagnose problems, and make appropriate repairs. It is essential to expediently escalate issues to supporting resources when necessary and work collaboratively with co-workers, customers, and field support to isolate and solve problems. Daily maintenance and optimization of equipment will be part of your responsibilities to enhance functionality and prevent issues. Additionally, you will train customers in the use and routine maintenance of the equipment, answer customer questions, and assist them in a professional manner. You will act as a resource for users on routine malfunctions, advise users on appropriate actions to correct malfunctions, and may recommend changes in user procedures. Administrative duties will also be part of your role, including managing work orders, field service reports, and preparing written technical reports independently. You will provide support and assistance to less experienced ASML personnel as necessary.
