About the position

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) role based in Nashville, TN, involves providing on-site support for flow cytometry instrumentation. This position requires a combination of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diagnostic equipment, while adhering to industry standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support to customers, including installation and service of diagnostic instrumentation.
  • Offer after-hours phone support and on-site assistance during holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data.
  • Complete service documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
  • Manage time and expenses effectively, adhering to established guidelines for field service travel.
  • Report quality control and technical issues to the Service Center and System Support Engineering Manager.
  • Promote and maintain good customer relations through professional conduct and appearance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma.
  • At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting electronic instruments or components.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with flow cytometry instrumentation.
  • Technical military training.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical or biological field.
  • Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Experience troubleshooting medical device instruments.
  • Previous customer interfacing experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with recent Mac and PC operating systems.
  • Experience with tools and test equipment such as digital volt meters and oscilloscopes.
