About the position

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) role in Nashville, TN involves providing on-site support for flow cytometry instrumentation. This position is crucial for ensuring the installation, maintenance, and service of diagnostic equipment, while also offering exceptional customer service and support. The FSE will work independently and be responsible for managing service documentation, inventory, and customer relations, all while adhering to industry standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for installation and service of diagnostic instrumentation.
• Offer after-hours phone support and weekend on-site support as needed.
• Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data.
• Complete service documentation in accordance with GMP requirements.
• Follow up with customers to ensure service satisfaction.
• Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center.
• Promote and maintain good customer relations through professional conduct.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School diploma.
• At least 3 years' experience troubleshooting electronic instruments or components.
• A valid Driver's License with a clear MVR.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 50%.

Nice-to-haves

• Flow Cytometry experience.
• Technical military training.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related fields.
• Prior Field Service Engineer experience.
• Experience troubleshooting medical device instruments.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with recent Mac and PC operating systems.
• Experience with tools and test equipment such as digital volt meters and oscilloscopes.
