About the position

The Field Service Engineer at Abbott is responsible for providing on-site technical support to customers, ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diagnostic instruments. Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site support to Abbott Diagnostic Division customers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complaints on complex instruments.
  • Document complaint resolutions accurately and timely.
  • Schedule and complete routine preventive maintenance and installations.
  • Work effectively within a diverse team environment and support on-call rotation.
  • Manage time, territory, and inventory efficiently.
  • Provide critical account support and maintain ownership of customer issues until resolution.
  • Achieve established business metrics including service sales and key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Superior technical competency in diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage accounts proactively and effectively communicate with customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's/Engineering Degree in Bio Medical/Electrical/Mechanical or Medical Technology.
  • Practical experience interfacing with customers.
