About the position

The Field Service Engineer position at Werfen involves providing technical support and customer satisfaction through the repair, installation, training, operation, and maintenance of Werfen instruments and systems. The role requires working under the direction of the Area Service Manager and may involve covering various territories as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides highly visible customer support through on-site installations and necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex instruments and systems.
• Performs routine and some non-routine technical repairs of all systems, including updates, retrofits, PMs, and product enhancements.
• Instructs customers in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments and systems.
• Complies with all appropriate regulatory bodies (FDA, ISO, and Health Canada) mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.
• Acts as a company liaison with customers, ensuring effective communication and support.
• Interacts routinely with sales counterparts regarding customer situations, updates, and lead generation.
• Promotes and sells service agreements, PMs, and other services to ensure financial stability and viability of the territory.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Area Service Manager.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or related industry.
• Some organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills with customers, peers, and management, both orally and in writing.
• Basic MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including the ability to manipulate data and build presentations.
