The Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems plays a crucial role in providing technical service and support for the company's diagnostic equipment. This position is integral to minimizing customer downtime and generating revenue opportunities, ensuring that the equipment operates efficiently and effectively. As part of the Service Organization based in North Carolina, this role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a focus on advancing cancer diagnostics and improving lives. The Field Service Engineer will be part of a dedicated team, reporting directly to the Regional Field Service Manager. In this position, the engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs of various mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and refrigeration instruments. The role requires meticulous documentation and completion of service administration activities in accordance with ISO, FDA, and Leica policies. Additionally, the engineer will actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives and service team members with system configurations and upgrades, and provide valuable feedback on improving financial performance to generate service revenue.
