We are looking for multifaceted individuals who can resolve problems and work directly with clients whom you will form interpersonal relationships with over time. This position involves significant travel, with up to 75% travel within the Pacific Northwest, while primarily working from your home office. As a key member of our team, you will perform on-site installation and preventive maintenance of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometer (MS) equipment at customer labs. You will handle personal parts inventories, complete job tasks, and service reports using service ticket management software. Training customers on Chromatography and MS equipment and software will be a crucial part of your role, ensuring they are well-equipped to utilize the technology effectively. You will also serve as a communication link between the customer and the company, helping to ensure that effective service is provided. Regular attendance at factory-provided technical and service training on the newest innovative products developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific is expected. Teamwork is essential in this role, as you will work in conjunction with Service and Sales teams. You will review customer data and run factory protocols to troubleshoot instrumentation, sharing diagnostic information with engineering, factory, field service, management, and other personnel to expedite repairs. This position requires a proactive approach to staying updated with technical bulletins and factory communications to ensure the highest level of service is maintained. Responsibilities

  • Train customers on Chromatography and MS equipment and software.
  • Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.

  • Must be team focused while working in conjunction with Service and Sales teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of user maintenance on Chromatography or Mass Spectrometer equipment experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Review technical bulletins and factory communications to stay up to date.
  • Provide accurate and timely completion of service reports, expense reports and other administrative tasks.
