About the position

The Field Service Engineer II - Ultrasound at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled service work on ultrasound systems. This role requires a high degree of independence, technical expertise, and strong customer relations skills to ensure effective maintenance and customer satisfaction. The engineer will also handle administrative duties, maintain communication with management and customers, and promote service contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance work as directed.
  • Work independently to resolve most unscheduled maintenance issues without technical support.
  • Install and de-install products and peripheral equipment as directed.
  • Maintain excellent working relations with field personnel, home office personnel, and management.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team to escalate issues and customer concerns.
  • Complete administrative duties including electronic expense reports, weekly timecards, and service reports.
  • Maintain customer service orders and internal service records per company policies.
  • Ensure timely communication with customers for issue resolution and follow-up.
  • Utilize escalation processes to resolve service delivery issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Complete all administrative paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Promote service contracts and extended warranties to customers as directed.
  • Maintain exceptional customer relations and manage assigned tools and equipment.
  • Train less experienced technicians and collaborate with various divisions to support the ultrasound business.
  • Comply with U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements and ISO standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years of previous field service experience or at least two years of HCUS Service experience.
  • Knowledge of assigned equipment for timely repair and effective maintenance.
  • Active listening skills and above-average customer service skills.
  • Strong organization and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain paperwork to FDA and company standards.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills to convey technical issues simply.
  • Ability to operate test equipment related to the job (oscilloscope, meter, diagnostic testers, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the medical imaging field.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in medical device service.
