We are currently hiring for a Field Service Engineer II, a role that can be located anywhere in the Northeastern US. This position is crucial as it involves the installation and troubleshooting of water treatment equipment at customer sites in the Northeastern area of the US. An ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude along with a basic understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). You will support in conducting standard site surveys to develop installation design plans and demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of professional principles and skills. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting reports covering all job activities and providing training to customers on maintaining and adjusting standard equipment based on established protocols. Specialized skills or certifications may be required in addition to the prior level Tech training requirements. Safety is paramount, and you will apply judgment and authority for safety stop work while independently performing basic tasks and functions in your professional field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct standard site surveys to develop installation design plans.
  • Prepare and submit reports covering all job activities.
  • Train customers to maintain and adjust standard equipment, test equipment, and calibration items based on established protocols.
  • Demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of professional principles and skills.
  • Apply judgment and authority for safety stop work.
  • Independently perform basic tasks and functions for the professional field of work.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes as defined in the work area.
  • Basic engineering principles understanding.
  • Ability to research electro-mechanical parts needed for repairs and alterations of water systems.
  • Strong understanding of business acumen and strategic customer relations.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with PLC programming, including minor changes to Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
  • Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude.
