About the position

Join Omnicell, a pioneering force in healthcare technology, as a Field Service Engineer II, where your work will directly impact patient care and outcomes. Our Field Service Engineers (FSEs) provide troubleshooting, repair services, and scheduled preventive maintenance for Omnicell's pharmacy and supply automation solutions at customer sites. Your work will keep critical pharmacy and supply systems running, helping healthcare providers deliver the highest quality patient care. As a Field Service Engineer II, you will independently perform onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance of Omnicell's electro-mechanical and automation solutions. You will regularly communicate with director-level nursing and pharmacy staff and tackle problems of advanced scope. Additionally, you will provide coaching and mentoring as needed, ensuring that your team is well-equipped to handle the challenges of the healthcare environment. Your role will involve thorough documentation of all service events according to Omnicell's policies and procedures, meeting company guidelines for response time and service levels, and escalating product bugs, malfunctions, and design issues through support channels. You will also participate in various staff meetings, maintain service quality and customer satisfaction, and manage parts inventory and return materials process. Responsibilities

  • Independently perform onsite troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency maintenance of Omnicell's electro-mechanical and automation solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with director-level nursing and pharmacy staff and tackle problems of advanced scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or a related discipline AND one year of relevant experience; OR Associate's Degree/Trade School Certification/Military Training in an Engineering/Technology related discipline, AND four years of relevant experience; OR seven years equivalent experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
  • Coursework in Network Engineering, Robotics, or Electronics.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations for medical devices and Quality Management Systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or related discipline and one year experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic, mechanical, or computer devices.
  • Coursework in Network Engineering, Robotics, or Electronics.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
