About the position

As a Field Service Engineer at Bio-Rad, you will travel throughout the Dallas/Ft Worth area to provide critical assistance and care for customers in the healthcare sector. Your primary responsibilities will include performing repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad's Clinical Diagnostics and Life Science instruments. This role is essential in ensuring the quality performance of equipment that supports scientific breakthroughs in healthcare research and treatments. You will also respond to emergencies and assist staff in other regions, advocating for customers and delivering high levels of service and support.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad's instruments.
• Support and maintain Bio-Rad instruments to ensure quality performance for customers.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with customers to anticipate and advocate for their needs.
• Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations with detailed record keeping and service documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and assist staff in other regions as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment.
• A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or military equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
• Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
• Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.
