About the position

The position involves performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, which is critical for maintaining the operational efficiency of semiconductor manufacturing. The technician will troubleshoot equipment problems, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly to minimize downtime. This role requires maintaining accurate records and reports as required by the company and coordinating activities with peers, supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth operations. The technician will also be responsible for ordering and installing parts, responding to emergency service calls, and instructing customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. In addition to these responsibilities, the technician will perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed, staying current on equipment and tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials. The incumbent will also be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property, including vehicles and tools. Employees are expected to maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both the company and customers to retain credentials for being on customer sites. The initial shift type for this position is three backend nights, with a pay range of $25/hr to $30/hr.

Responsibilities

  • Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoots equipment problems.

  • Orders and installs parts.
  • Responds to emergency service calls as required.
  • Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance.

  • Remains current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials.
  • Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
  • Maintains standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s).

Requirements

  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred.
  • 2+ years previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Excellent customer interface skills are required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools.
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required.
