About the position

WGNSTAR is seeking a Field Service Engineer specializing in LAM Etch to join our dynamic team in Bloomington, Minnesota. This role is pivotal in supporting our semiconductor equipment operations, where you will leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair LAM systems. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will work closely with Production and Process Engineering teams to enhance and stabilize both new and existing platforms, focusing on improving line response, quality, yield, tool reliability, productivity, cycle time, and cost reduction. In this position, you will be expected to demonstrate strong teamwork and partnership within the Equipment Maintenance Team, fostering a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives. You will also have the opportunity to mentor new technicians while learning from experienced colleagues, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Your ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including Management, Operations, Engineering, and Clean Room Facilities teams, will be essential in delivering quality repairs and maintaining high operational standards. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to perform physical tasks, including walking significant distances, standing for extended periods, and lifting equipment as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair issues on LAM systems.
  • Work collaboratively with Production and Process Engineering to improve and stabilize platforms.

  • Mentor new technicians and learn from experienced colleagues.
  • Foster strong partnerships within the Equipment Maintenance Team and across departments.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of semiconductor related experience.
  • Maintenance Technician skills with solid experience in resolving tool-related challenges.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and related principles and tools.
  • Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
