About the position

The Field Service Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical support, installation, repair, and maintenance of analytical instruments at customer sites. This position is essential for ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and support, which is vital for maximizing their satisfaction and the performance of the products. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining analytical instruments in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements. This includes providing technical support to customers through various channels such as phone, email, or on-site visits to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the products. In addition to technical support, the Field Service Engineer will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all service activities, including service reports, customer feedback, and spare parts inventory. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, is also a key responsibility to ensure that customer needs are met and that new product features are effectively communicated. The role requires a thorough understanding of the products and their applications, as well as staying current with the latest technological advances in the industry. Participation in training sessions and seminars is expected to maintain and expand technical knowledge and skills. Furthermore, adherence to company safety policies and procedures is essential to promote a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in field service, installation, and/or technical support of electronics.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining analytical instruments such as chromatography systems, mass spectrometers, or other analytical instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong customer-focused attitude.
