About the position

At Epredia, we are committed to making a difference in the world of cancer diagnostics, and our Field Service Engineer plays a crucial role in this mission. In this position, you will be part of a dedicated team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional service to our customers by performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on Epredia instrumentation. This role is highly autonomous, requiring you to spend the majority of your time in the field, directly interacting with customers and addressing their technical needs. You will be responsible for troubleshooting a variety of electromechanical instruments, ensuring they operate at peak performance to support patient outcomes. Your day-to-day activities will include managing service call scheduling, maintaining parts inventory, and handling other administrative tasks necessary for efficient service delivery. Building trust-based relationships with customers is essential, as is your ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including technical support teams, manufacturing, and sales. You will also prepare periodic reports for management, compiling customer feedback, analyzing trends, and suggesting improvements to enhance service quality. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to representing Epredia positively in all customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide world-class service to customers by performing preventative and corrective maintenance for Epredia instrumentation.
  • Use expert troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues on a variety of electromechanical instruments.
  • Manage service call scheduling, parts inventory, and other administrative necessities.
  • Build trust-based relationships with customers.
  • Interact with and provide feedback to internal stakeholders including technical support teams, Manufacturing, and Sales.
  • Prepare periodic reports to management including compilations of customer complaints, trend analyses, and suggestions for improvement.
  • Represent Epredia in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of field service experience is preferred.
  • Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering, or other scientific degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve problems with electronic and mechanical instrumentation in a scientific laboratory environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze schematics, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems/networking instrumentation preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
