About the position

As a Field Service Engineer at Atlas Copco Industrial Assembly Solutions (IAS), you will play a crucial role in enhancing our service department's presence in Nashville, TN. This position is designed to support our mission of delivering safe, high-quality service efficiently to our customers. Your proximity to customer locations will enable you to service all our brands and products effectively, ensuring a great customer experience. You will act as the first point of contact for customers, embodying our brand values and technical expertise. Reporting to the Regional Team Lead, you will be responsible for troubleshooting customer systems to ensure optimal operation and productivity. In this role, you will engage with various teams within the organization to ensure that all field issues are resolved completely. You will create detailed customer service reports and maintain accurate records in our database. Additionally, you will inspect customer warranty claims, gathering necessary data to validate these claims. Training customers on the proper use of Atlas Copco IAS equipment and software will also be a key responsibility, as well as training other personnel on equipment repair. This full-time position may require you to work early, late, or on weekends depending on workload demands. Travel is a significant aspect of this role, with expectations of up to 70% local travel and 30% national travel. Your experience and skills will be vital in ensuring that we continue to provide exceptional service to our customers, reinforcing our reputation as a leader in the industrial dispensing and joining industries.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first contact for customers and represent the brand as a technical expert.
  • Troubleshoot customer systems to ensure they operate at the desired quality and productivity.
  • Engage with internal teams to guide field issues to completion.
  • Create detailed customer service reports and update the database accordingly.
  • Inspect customer warranty claims and gather necessary data for validation.
  • Train customers on the correct use of Atlas Copco IAS equipment and software.
  • Train other personnel on equipment repair.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving field equipment issues.
  • Strong skills in blueprint and technical reading.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to meeting customer needs.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, production, or assembly-plant working conditions.
  • Ability to understand and detail technical concepts in writing.
  • Motivated to achieve targets.
