About the position

Revvity is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Service Team in our Life Sciences & Diagnostics Business Unit. The individual will be responsible for supporting several testing labs in the greater New York City and New Jersey area.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, validating, and repairing Revvity and/or multivendor instrumentation at customer sites with best-in-class service.
  • Independently troubleshooting, resolving, and testing technical issues.
  • Accountability for assigned company assets including company vehicle, tools, test equipment, telecommunications equipment, personal service parts inventory, or other company owned assets.
  • Completing all administrative tasks including time reporting and assigned training.
  • Acting as primary Service liaison for customer, building a strong relationship ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Performing installations and delivering customer training for instrument operation and user maintenance.
  • Understanding customer expectations and scheduling work accordingly.
  • Providing scheduled preventative maintenance for contract customers, remedial maintenance for non-contract customers, and all warranty services applicable to Revvity supported products in the field.
  • Communicating service offerings including training, support, software, laboratory services products and field upgrades.
  • Contributing to account profitability through billable labor/travel, parts orders, billable install orders, moves and consumables.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of and adherence to the installation, warranty, and service agreement provisions to provide adequate billing information to the customer.
  • Enhancing Revvity’s product quality by proactively reporting improvement opportunities via the quality notification process.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in a STEM field and 2+ years of experience with installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, support and/or end user utilization of scientific instrumentation.
  • OR Associate Degree in a STEM field with 4+ years of experience with installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, support and/or end user utilization of scientific instrumentation.
  • OR High school diploma or GED and 6+ years of experience with installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, support and/or end user utilization of scientific instrumentation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Automate Liquid Handling, Micro-fluidics, and motion control systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical issues.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Experience in MS-Office products.
