About the position

The Field Service Engineer role at Philips focuses on enhancing customer relationships through technical expertise in the installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites. The position emphasizes exceptional customer service, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory requirements while ensuring timely resolution of customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by adhering to customer entitlements and meeting commitments and arrival times.
  • Understand the customer's business and competitive environment to generate service revenue.
  • Actively participate as a member of the regional work team to improve processes and identify training gaps.
  • Perform all administrative duties within established regulatory requirements and timeframes, including timesheets and service work orders.
  • Utilize tools and resources to resolve customer and system problems effectively and timely.
  • Complete preventative maintenance, Field Change Orders, installations, and diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment, preferably in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment.
  • Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hospital-based service environment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and handling of radioactive materials.
