About the position

The Field Service Engineer at Cytiva is responsible for conducting service, repair, and installation of products or IT solutions at customer sites. This role involves diagnosing system failures, determining cost-effective solutions, and responding to customer support calls. The engineer will also support revenue growth by identifying leads and maintaining customer relationships while adhering to EHS and Quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, qualification, routine maintenance, and repairs of instruments at customer sites
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing in accordance with maintenance contracts
• Diagnose system failures and determine cost-effective solutions
• Respond to customer support calls within an assigned territory
• Engage as part of a wider customer-facing team including Customer Care, Service Sales, and Account Managers
• Complete administrative tasks such as scheduling service, documentation, and inventory maintenance

Requirements

• Background in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or related STEM experience
• 1 year working knowledge of calibrated tools, hand tools, and power tools
• 1 year of customer-facing experience
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, kneel, ascend and descend stairs, and reach with hands and arms

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in an environment that follows GxP guidelines
• Strong IT skills relating to Networking and Automation
• Working knowledge of electronics and electricity
