About the position

The Field Service Engineer - Patient Monitoring role focuses on providing technical support and solutions for patient monitoring systems in Northern New Jersey. This position involves customer relationship management, installation, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for real-time patient data requirements. The engineer will collaborate with a diverse team and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical recommendations based on customer requirements.
  • Support the transition from a break-fix model to a customer solutions-focused model.
  • Drive continuous improvement of implementation methodology and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources including clinical, sales, and service partners.
  • Coordinate project resources and tasks to focus on customer deliverables.
  • Perform administrative duties within regulatory requirements including timesheets and service work orders.
  • Install complex systems in clinical and non-clinical environments.
  • Conduct technical reviews of system configurations to ensure performance viability.
  • Diagnose and resolve electronic, networking, and mechanical problems.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of professional experience in IT technologies or electronics industry, preferably in a field or hospital-based service environment.
  • Experience with patient monitoring, telemetry units, ventilators, and defibrillators is highly preferred.
  • Network configuration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (or required to obtain within 4 months).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics, biomedical, or related disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
