About the position

In the Field Service Engineer role, you will be responsible for delivering the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability. Sartorius has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated professional to help make an impact within our Field Service organization supporting the Lab Essential portfolio of products such as water systems, balances, and analyzers. This position will be supporting customers in the Florida region (remote role) with potential to travel to other states. The incumbent in this role will be a critical team member helping customers with installations, calibrations, maintenance, and repairs. One of your tasks will be to tie workflow to schedule. You will manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. In this role, you will diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. On a regular basis, you will be asked to produce timely, accurate, and detailed service reports and prepare customer-facing estimates of repairs as well as document processes. You will operate a vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems. Following all company's filed procedures and protocols is essential. One of your duties will be to cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization. In this role, you will comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings. Building positive relationships with customers is crucial. In the event of an issue, you will assist with troubleshooting and analyzing any process failures that arise. You will also perform other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Completed an associate degree or certifications in engineering or military training and 5+ years of proven field service experience.
  • 2+ years of proven field service experience including experience with the calibration of balances and moisture analyzers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment with excellent mechanical, electrical, and IT skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and passport.
  • Proficient with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
