About the position

This position is a remote role based in the Salt Lake City, UT area, where qualified candidates will be responsible for providing on-site support to Abbott Diagnostic Division customers. The role emphasizes achieving customer loyalty and economic profitability through passion, partnership, and performance. The successful candidate will efficiently provide technical support solutions, which include installation, corrective, pre-emptive, and proactive maintenance. The position requires a commitment to responding to customer needs by collaborating with sales, marketing, and other functional areas while adhering to compliance guidelines. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complaints reported by customers on a minimum of eight increasingly complex instruments. You will also be expected to understand and follow the Quality System by ensuring accurate and timely documentation of complaint resolutions. Practicing regulatory and compliance procedures is essential, as is maintaining a safe work environment by following laboratory safety guidelines. Additionally, you will schedule and complete routine preventive maintenance, installations, and other updates provided by Abbott. The position requires effective integration into a diverse and dynamic service team environment. You will support on-call rotations, manage time, territory, and inventory, and be prepared for standby and after-hours responsibilities. Unpredictable travel is expected for supporting other territories and training, and you will provide on-site critical account support both inside and outside of district boundaries. You will also be responsible for maintaining ownership of customer issues until successful escalation or handoff occurs, working cross-functionally to achieve customer satisfaction through direct communication within local performance partnership teams (P2T).

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Proficiency in local language required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelors/Engineering Degree in Bio Medical/Electrical/Mechanical or Medical Technology is preferred.
  • Practical experience of interfacing with customers preferred.
