About the position

The Field Service Engineer at Makino is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Makino machinery at customer locations. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by providing technical support and training on the product line. The position requires a customer-focused professional with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Install, train, and provide technical knowledge and troubleshooting on the product line at the customer's facility.
  • Provide a communication link between the customer and Makino.
  • Participate occasionally outside of the team product line.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills.
  • Professional image and demeanor.
  • Good electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers).
  • Knowledge of machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Availability for regional travel about 25%.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, either through co-op, internship, or full/part-time job.
  • 2 Year Technical degree (Electrical/Automation) and 1 year of experience in a related field.
