About the position

ECS is seeking a Deployable Field Service Engineer to work in our Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii office. This position involves supporting programs that require the installation, configuration, and integration of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence on deployed platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software installations in both Windows and Linux environments, both CONUS (Continental United States) and OCONUS (Outside Continental United States). The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a Linux environment and possess above-average experience with networking. Prior experience with computer applications, languages, technologies, advanced setups, configurations, troubleshooting, and system design is essential. Specific duties and responsibilities include performing security base-lining, managing containerized applications, providing technical briefs to Government/SETA representatives, generating technical documentation, architectures, and after-action reports, troubleshooting Linux systems deployed in development and production environments, and effectively communicating within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense (DoD). Additionally, the candidate will conduct cyclical inventory and maintain an account of Program hardware. The role requires the ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Active Top-Secret/ SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equal years on the job experience
  • 4+ years of Linux and Windows systems administration
  • Extensive knowledge of computer networking
  • Experience utilizing containerization technologies (e.g. - Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Kubernetes)

Nice-to-haves

  • TS/SCI (+CI Poly) security clearance
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Experience working with OpenShift Container Platform
  • Experience Implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) best practices and procedures
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise level systems
  • Experience developing Architecture and Data Flow Diagrams using graphing programs (e.g. Visio)
  • Experience working with multicast video transmission
