About the position

The Maintenance Technician I at Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of apartment communities, including buildings, landscaping, amenities, and parking areas. This role involves assisting with essential maintenance tasks such as repairs, carpentry, electrical work, painting, landscaping, pool maintenance, and plumbing under the guidance of experienced technicians. The position requires strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage work orders using technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily upkeep and cleanliness of buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking lot, and trash areas.
  • Assist with essential maintenance duties including repairs, carpentry, electrical work, painting, landscaping, pool maintenance, and plumbing tasks.
  • Manage work orders using technology and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in a housekeeping porter position or previous maintenance technician experience in property management is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and flooring installation and repair is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate a pressure washer.
  • Knowledge and experience using janitorial equipment and handling chemicals safely.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Janitorial experience is preferred.
  • Pool maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Motivation and ability to follow instructions while working alone or as part of a team.
