About the position

The Maintenance Technician II position at Sares Regis Group in West Covina, CA, is designed for an experienced maintenance professional to support property management operations. The role involves performing various maintenance tasks, including repairs and renovations, while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The technician will work primarily from Tuesday to Saturday and participate in emergency coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work on turnover and renovation units, responding to maintenance service requests.
• Perform internal and external repairs including drywall repairs, painting, plumbing installation or repairs, and appliance repairs.
• Maintain HVAC systems and conduct common area clean-up.
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine for repairs or fabrication.
• Fabricate and repair wooden structures such as cabinets, counters, and partitions.
• Maintain inventory and prepare related paperwork.
• Keep storage facilities and equipment in an orderly condition.

Requirements

• Experience in all trades including electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, and appliances.
• Preferred experience with Yardi software.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work with required tools and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret service orders and safety documents.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional interaction with co-workers, residents, and vendors.
• High school diploma or GED, technical school, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and MSDS appropriate to the scope of work.
