About the position

As a Field Service Engineer at TRUMPF, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality technical service for our advanced laser technology and CNC fabricating machine tools. This role is crucial in ensuring optimal performance of our machines at customer sites across North America, including the United States, Canada, and Mexico. You will be responsible for traveling to various locations to install, demonstrate, troubleshoot, and repair TRUMPF laser systems, while also training customers and associates on the effective use of these technologies. Your expertise will not only help in resolving technical issues but also in enhancing customer satisfaction and productivity. In this position, you will document customer machine information and technical conditions, providing valuable feedback and suggestions for improvements. As a TRUMPF Service ambassador, you will engage directly with customers during installations and repairs, ensuring their business success through your technical knowledge and customer service skills. Responsibilities

  • Travel to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair TRUMPF CNC fabricating machine tools at customer sites throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Provide high-quality technical service to customers to ensure optimal sheet metal machine performance.
  • Document customer machine information and technical conditions and make improvement suggestions.
  • Train customers to operate and/or service machines to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Act as a TRUMPF Service ambassador and work directly with customers during installations and repairs to enable their business success.

Requirements

  • Hands-on problem solver experienced in electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and hydraulics.
  • Focused on customer service and quality.
  • Technologically savvy and experienced in software and file management.
  • Eager to travel 100%.
