About the position

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing medical laboratory equipment, including hematology, chemistry, and coagulation analyzers. This role involves installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated robotic lab instrumentation in the Spokane, WA area. The position requires strong electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, along with a commitment to establishing good customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on medical laboratory instrumentation.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations.
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
• Maintain car inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts).
• Provide basic on-site training regarding the operation of company instrumentation.

Requirements

• A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
• Good experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus.

• Base salary of $65,000 - $82,000 depending on experience, with potential overtime and performance bonuses adding an additional $4,000 - $8,000 annually.
