About the position

The Field Service Engineer/Technician role is a direct hire opportunity based in Birmingham, AL, focused on providing technical support to customers across North America. The position involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing company equipment, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The role requires extensive travel and offers a competitive pay rate along with a generous relocation package for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

• Support customers in North America as part of the technical service group.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company equipment with high quality.
• Complete basic retrofits, software installations, and customer training.
• Complete paperwork on time with high quality.
• Work independently to resolve technical problems and maintain good relationships with customers.
• Perform any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree in engineering or related field preferred, or a combination of training and work experience.
• Strong electrical and computer systems experience and high level of diagnostic skills.
• Previous experience with robotics, lasers, automation systems, or mechatronics required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
