About the position
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for responding quickly to customer installations or problems on short notice. You will engage in PLC, and robot programming, as well as electrical hardware troubleshooting. You will also assist with customer part runoffs and final acceptance.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to customer installations or problems on short notice
- Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Execute robot programming and integration (ABB & Fanuc)
- Troubleshoot electrical hardware issues
- Parameterize and tune servo drives
- Network machines to plant networks and other machines
- Assist with customer part runoffs and final acceptance
Requirements

- Siemens PLC
- Allen-Bradley PLC
- Beckhoff PLC
- Electro-mechanical troubleshooting
- PLC programming
- PLC troubleshooting
- Robotics
- C++
Nice-to-haves
- PLC or CNC programming experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, or Fanuc 30i CNC knowledge preferred)
- General PC and networking skills
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- Candidates with Beckhoff experience are ideal
- Siemens experience is preferred
- Strong personality and 5+ years of experience if Allen-Bradley is their only experience
