About the position

Entegris' Material Solutions business is quickly growing, and we are looking to add a Field Service Engineer in the Phoenix area to support the growing TSMC plant. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee liquid, solid and gas equipment activities such as installation, troubleshooting, customer complaint investigation, canister and cylinder changes and empty container return issues. Gaining valuable insight working in the field, you will have the opportunity to partner closely with the delivery system engineering team(s) to drive improvements to existing systems, help develop new delivery systems and will participate in the building and testing of these new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Installs new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
  • Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
  • Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
  • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment. On duty phone needed and standby for 24 hours on call.
  • Maintains records of performance reports.
  • Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems.
  • Works with the engineering team to test existing systems, implement improvements, test reliability of existing systems, test robustness of the systems software.
  • Participates in new product development activities with the engineering team to provide input on serviceability, reliability and voice of the customer.
  • Assists in the development of service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product.
  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
  • Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with installation, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, engineering change upgrades, etc. of all Entegris equipment.
  • Support other Field Service Engineers as needed for coverage or larger installs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in field support/service with a capital equipment company.
  • Associates or Technical Degree required, bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry preferred.
  • Knowledge of LDS systems and Design of Experiment techniques.
  • CVD/CMP/WET module EE&PE experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin or Taiwanese is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer interface skills.
