About the position

The Field Service Engineer at SCIEX is responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing SCIEX products at customer sites, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role involves independent problem-solving and mentoring less experienced staff, contributing to the overall success of the Field Technical Service organization in the North Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and repair SCIEX products at customer sites.
• Resolve assigned customer and technical issues independently.
• Perform qualifications services and customer training.
• Complete administrative duties such as logging service activities and expense reporting.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.S./A.A.S) or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience with LCMS and/or capillary electrophoresis.
• Prior experience using and/or servicing mass spectrometry or scientific instrumentation.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to troubleshoot and follow problem-solving procedures.
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical technology.
