About the position

As a Field Service Engineer based in Landrum, SC, you will play a crucial role in servicing and supporting client products, particularly in the realm of CT Imaging. Your primary responsibilities will include providing both on-site and remote technical support, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of service and satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of their machines. This position requires a collaborative approach, as you will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Clinical Support teams to address customer needs effectively. This is a direct-hire opportunity, emphasizing the importance of building long-term relationships with clients and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions. In this role, you will be tasked with managing Tier 2 service calls, which involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise with the equipment. You will also be responsible for tracking and documenting service costs and actions within the Enterprise ERP system, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date. Staying informed about product changes, upgrades, and system bugs is essential, as this knowledge will enable you to provide informed support to customers. Additionally, you will coordinate the procurement of repair parts and ensure that pricing for service contracts is correct. Supporting Sales Representatives by creating and processing repair quotes will also be part of your duties. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing both product and service quality, and you will handle equipment loaner requests from customers in coordination with the Technical Services department. This position may also involve various other responsibilities as assigned, requiring flexibility and adaptability in your work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Tier 2 service calls, both on-site and remotely
  • Manage customer inquiries with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Track and document service costs and actions in the Enterprise ERP system
  • Stay updated on product changes, upgrades, and system bugs
  • Coordinate repair parts and ensure correct pricing for service contracts
  • Support Sales Representatives by creating and processing repair quotes
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality
  • Process equipment loaner forms and the appropriate contract on discrete repairs requested by customers
  • Process equipment loaner requests from customers in coordination with the Technical Services department
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • 3.5+ years in servicing CT Imaging Products
  • Completion of a CT technology certification program is preferred
  • Expertise in service, repair, and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to lift/carry 40 pounds, stand and bend for long periods, and travel 60% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering
