About the position

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and support of automation tools and systems at customer facilities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, as you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment while working closely with manufacturing teams to debug, validate, and commission machines. Your ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams will be essential, as you will often operate under minimal supervision. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as you will be handling complex mechanical devices and ensuring that all systems function optimally. In this position, you will coordinate and perform installations, startups, validations, and commissioning of systems, ensuring that all equipment meets the required specifications and operates efficiently. Preventive and corrective maintenance will be a significant part of your responsibilities, allowing you to apply your technical skills to keep systems running smoothly. Your proficiency with standard electronic test equipment and ability to read electrical schematics, controls, and mechanical drawings will be critical in diagnosing and resolving issues that may arise during operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical devices used in automation systems, including robots, conveyors, shuttles, and other material handling devices. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Manufacturing for machine debug, validation, and commissioning
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on installed equipment
  • Coordinate and perform installation, startup, validation, and commissioning of systems at customer facilities.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in a technical, customer focused, field service position.
  • Proficient with standard electronic test equipment.
  • Able to read electrical schematics, and controls and mechanical drawings.
  • Have a firm understanding of mechanical devices employed in systems or tools such as robots, conveyors, shuttles, and other material handling devices.
