The Field Service Engineer - Hydraulics & Controls position is a dynamic role that involves installing and commissioning new systems within the specified schedule and budget set by the project team. This includes working with various systems such as mechanical, hydraulic, cooling water, inert gas, ultra-high-pressure fluid and gas, as well as electrical and control systems. The role requires a proactive approach to customer relations, ensuring that customer needs are met through both remote support and on-site engagement. The engineer will lead on-site project staff, which includes customer maintenance crews and external contractors, while also providing training to customers and company associates in both classroom settings and practical applications. In addition to installation and commissioning, the Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the administration and reporting of projects, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Safety is a top priority, and the engineer must assure personal and site staff safety throughout all operations. The role also involves supporting other departments and sites, including spare parts management, project management, and engineering areas. The engineer may assist with production tasks, which can include building presses, thermal barrier assemblies, and feed-through thermocouples. This position requires a high level of motivation to travel, as it involves 90% travel both internationally and domestically, with all travel expenses covered by the company.
