About the position

As a Field Service Engineer at Revvity, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional installation, maintenance, validation, and repair services for Revvity and multivendor instrumentation at customer sites. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive best-in-class service, and you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training on instrument operation and user maintenance. You will also be a key member of the remote technical resolution team, partnering with customers to understand their analytical workflows and applications, and effectively communicating our service offerings, including training, support, software, laboratory services products, and field upgrades. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will support your team by mentoring and developing fellow Field Service Engineers in both technical and soft skills. You will collaborate with local instrument sales representatives to help secure new instrument orders and provide service that drives the sale of new service agreements, upgrades, and instrument add-ons to existing contracts. Your role will also involve reviewing service contract offerings and deliverables, leveraging organizational awareness of other functional groups and product lines to support customers and team members effectively. Your contributions will be vital to driving organizational growth by enhancing account profitability through efficient service delivery and execution. You will excel in technical acumen and testing equipment, serving as an example of efficiency in all assigned administrative tasks. Furthermore, you will enhance Revvity's product quality by proactively reporting improvement opportunities through the quality notification process. Your demonstrated experience in instrumentation troubleshooting, repair, and qualification services will be essential in fulfilling these responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the customer experience by providing installation, maintenance, validation, and repair services for instrumentation.
  • Deliver customer training for instrument operation and user maintenance.
  • Serve as a member of the remote technical resolution team.
  • Partner with customers to understand their analytical workflow and applications.
  • Communicate service offerings including training, support, software, laboratory services products, and field upgrades.

  • Support local instrument sales representatives to help secure new instrument orders.
  • Drive the sale of new service agreements, service agreement upgrades, and instrument add-ons to existing contracts.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree with 5+ years of experience in installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, support, and/or end user utilization of scientific instrumentation.
  • OR AS/AA degree with 7+ years of experience in the same areas.
  • OR High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of experience in the same areas.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain safe motor vehicle operation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of laboratory safety practices as defined by the Company and/or the customer's site safety code.
  • Chromatography & Mass Spec service experience.
  • Liquid Handling & Life Science instrument service experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory environment, and/or instrument control software.
  • Vendor issued certification on relevant laboratory equipment.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and other business software platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling advanced and complicated technical and interpersonal escalations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive miscellaneous business projects through completion.
