The Field Service Engineer position at Schneider Electric is a full-time role focused on servicing and maintaining power monitoring systems, particularly SCADA systems, in various industrial environments. Responsibilities

  • Service low and medium voltage switchgear.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and configure various aspects of Power Monitoring (EPMS)/SCADA applications.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and remedy hardware issues.
  • Utilize knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, ModbusTCP, BacNet, and Profibus.
  • Engage in customer interaction and relationship building as the key local customer lead for the service territory.
  • Collaborate with sales, solutions, and service engineers to provide local installation, commissioning, and repair services for integrated power monitoring and control systems.
  • Manage travel schedules and documentation for project delivery in both team and individual contributor environments.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or two years associate degree with relevant experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) experience with electrical distribution systems, software/SCADA/PLC programming expertise may substitute for a college degree.
  • Effective communication skills (written/oral/reading/listening) to keep stakeholders informed and build relationships.
