About the position

As a Field Service Engineer at Accuray, you will play a crucial role in providing highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation and maintenance of complex radiotherapy systems. Your responsibilities will include overseeing necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of equipment and systems, ensuring that operational quality is maintained. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, instructing them in the operation and maintenance of the systems, and serving as a liaison between the company and the customer on both administrative and technical matters related to assigned projects. In this position, you will interpret customer needs and clarify whether the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support representatives, or engineers. Your role may encompass various aspects of field support, including system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking. This position is vital in ensuring that our innovative cancer treatment technologies are effectively supported in the field, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site installation and support for radiotherapy systems.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair complex equipment and systems.
  • Ensure operational quality of system equipment is checked and approved.
  • Instruct customers on the operation and maintenance of the systems.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and customers on administrative and technical matters.
  • Interpret customer needs and clarify responsibilities for problem resolution.
  • Support various aspects of field support including hardware, software, PCs, and networking.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in field service engineering or a related technical support role.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Technical knowledge of radiotherapy systems and related technologies.
  • Authorization to work in the country without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry.
